Overview

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION: 

Extensive experience as a project manager executing building enclosure commissioning services during design and construction of commercial projects. Evidence of progressive career development and demonstrated expertise in leading large, complex projects or programs with a diverse team preferred.

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES:

Developing, executing, and growing MBP’s BECx services for new construction and existing buildings.  Managing project managers on an array of projects, multiple teams and multiple assignments, taking multiple projects from conception to completion.  Providing senior leadership and guidance to the delivery of diverse elements of design and construction programs.  Providing quality assurance reviews throughout projects. Actively involved with recruiting, budgeting and business development.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Expanded involvement in business development, strategy and forecasting, actively involved with long term development and corporate initiatives.  Prepares, monitors and manages budgets, schedules, and other management level tools on multiple projects.  Maintain registrations and certifications.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:

B.S. in industry-related field, advanced degree preferred.  Professional registration and other specific certifications such as BCxP, or advanced specialized technical knowledge.  Detailed knowledge of the design, construction, and performance of building enclosure systems and components.  Knowledge and demonstrated experience in personnel and project management techniques including budgeting, leadership, training and business development.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Expertise with MBP’s diverse services (commissioning, constructability reviews, quality assurance, risk management, dispute resolution) and in implementing or managing these services.  Initiating strategic approach to projects, programs, marketing and business development opportunities.  Managing major clients, and capable of managing complex teams and multiple assignments.  Able to take multiple projects from conception to completion while keeping overall objectives in perspective.

 

GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY: 

Capable of managing clients, diverse teams, satellite offices, and has an ability to organize and manage various aspects of MBP’s operations. Receives strategic guidance on overall objectives.

Overall responsibility for assisting with service line leadership, quality assurance and profitability.  Receives guidance from and reports to the Service Leader.

 

SUPERVISORY:

Coordinates work of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and commissioning agents. Ability to supervise large and/or multiple teams, and also self-perform strategic, analytical and management tasks.
