Overview

SUMMARY:

Provide information management, data analytics, and project and program coordination for a  multi-billion-dollar Department of Defense project portfolio in eastern North Carolina. Work on-site as an embedded consultant within the Navy construction management organization tasked with organizing and communicating project and program information.  Position will be onsite at Camp Lejeune while supporting projects at Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point, and New River.

 

 EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS: 

  • 5 years of project coordination performing the tasks summarized here
  • 5 years of experience in database/information management with 3 years utilizing database management.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) / Registered Architect (RA) and/or attainment of an MBA is highly desirable
  • Certification as a PMP with the Project Management Institute (PMI) or CCM with the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) is also highly desirable

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES:

As a member of a five-person team (other members are program manager, scheduler, risk manager and second information manager), perform the following:

  • Develop periodic reports and briefs communicating program cost and schedule (internal and external) performance.
  • Support Governance brief development and regular and periodic reporting/briefing requirements including at the project and program levels.
  • Conduct data analytics on program cost and schedules to monitor, analyze, and synthesize numerous reports, timelines, trends, and interdependencies for leadership and stakeholders to incorporate into decision-making process.
  • Support briefing layouts to incorporate data analyzed to allow OICC to make informed decisions on the projects and programs.
  • Identify critical external and internal decision and data input points and provide timely reminders/warnings to management.
  • Generate reports and documentation associated with project/program objectives.
  • Coordinate and lead stakeholder briefings and encourage proper participation in required meetings.
  • Coordinate and advise program leadership with planning, initiating, managing, execution and closeout via briefs, meetings, discussions.
  • Document coordination meetings within 2 days of occurrence to prevent any confusion of the discussed facts with current events that may have transpired.
  • Maintain information database that compiles, integrates, manages, and timely disseminates and archives critical information from numerous sources.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Receive training, participation in company activities, and administrative duties. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:

Degree from a four-year accredited college/university by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE);

or Architecture degree from a National Architecture Accrediting Board (NAAB) accredited university;

or MBA from an accredited university

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent executive level writing and brief preparation skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas to senior leaders at all levels of authority.
  • Capable of proactive engagement with multiple sources/stakeholders to obtain critical information required to effectively perform analysis that will inform mitigation strategies to improve performance across cost, schedule, safety and quality.
  • Strong analytics skills with the ability to take raw data from multiple sources and perform analysis and develop applicable reports outlining data quality and program performance.
  • Developed soft skills that allow one to work effectively with other government professionals, client representatives, contractor management and labor personnel, and others of varying backgrounds and experiences.
  • Ability to prepare pertinent meeting agendas, coordinate meetings to assure attendance by critical stakeholders, maintain meeting order and scope, and drive the development of action items and resolutions.
  • Ability to integrate data to create querries and reports, exporting/publishing to interface with other programs.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Complete the SF-85-P, Questionnaire for Public Trust Positions. Each task order shall establish necessary base/building access requirements.
  • Be a United States citizen.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

MBP must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
