EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
MBP is seeking new Team Members for growth opportunities and to work on meaningful projects that support our community. For this position, we seek candidates in the Washington DC/Bethesda metropolitan area with 20 or more years of combined education and/or experience and demonstrated advanced knowledge and expertise in project management related to the installation of Mechanical, Plumbing, and related systems, or related to planning and installation of electrical and low-voltage systems. Extensive construction management and/or commissioning management experience in healthcare, laboratory, higher education, and/or federal or local government projects is desired. Experience in the installation, repair or alteration, and/or operation of central utility plants or other heavy mechanical/electrical distribution systems is highly preferred. Evidence of progressive career development and demonstrated expertise in leading projects or programs with a diverse team.
MAIN DUTIES:
Capable of managing diverse teams and complex projects from conception to completion. Actively engage with the clients and project stakeholders to proactively manage risks and resolve issues. Provides internal and external quality assurance reviews. Prepares, monitors, and manages client project budgets. Works closely with Area Managers to support Team Member training, professional development, and performance reviews. Actively participates in company activities, including but not limited to Area and company-wide events.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
B.S. in industry-related field, advanced degree preferred. Relevant work experience or other education may be considered in lieu of a degree. Professional registration, other specific industry-related certification, or advanced specialized technical knowledge. Detailed knowledge of construction, principles of construction management, commissioning, and/or project controls, with specialized knowledge in one or more of MBP’s services. Knowledge and demonstrated experience in project management techniques, including budgeting, leadership, training, and business development.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Capable of managing large, complex projects and teams or managing multiple teams and multiple assignments, taking projects from conception to completion.
GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY:
Provides training to less experienced personnel. Manages the profitability of projects and their forecasted budgets. Receives strategic guidance on overall objectives.
SUPERVISORY:
Ability to supervise large and/or multiple teams and independently perform analytical and management tasks.
STATUS:
Full-time
SALARY:
$120,000 - $170,000 per year
