MAIN DUTIES:
- Primary duty is business development, encompassing development of clients and opportunities throughout the firm for all services.
- Aligns business development activities with MBP’s business plan. Identifies potential clients, builds relationships, identifies specific opportunities.
- Represents firm before key target client audiences, networking events, etc.
- Leads efforts in formulating strategies, assembling teams, developing proposals.
- Transitions responsibilities to Client Solution Leaders upon award of contracts.
- Applies best-practice business development processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies and explores potential strategic market areas and opportunities.
- Recommends marketing/campaigns strategy options to penetrate market.
- Researches and analyzes customers to determine underlying needs.
- Assesses opportunities for potential.
- Chooses business opportunities that are good strategic fits for MBP.
- Attends industry briefings.
- Plans and documents capture activities.
- Prepares and coordinates Interest and Pursuit Decision Meetings.
- Collects and analyzes market intelligence.
- Formulates capture strategies to capture new work.
- Implements capture strategies, actions plan and collaborates on potential pricing strategy with Service Line Leader.
- Plans actions to influence customers.
- Collaborates with Service Strategy & Delivery (SS&D) team to develop compelling solutions for potential clients’ problems.
- Develops pursuit timeline and identifies potential marketing support.
- Collaborates with internal team on proposal preparations.
- Executes and monitors capture plans.
- Conducts pink team proposal reviews.
- Coordinates hand-offs of contracts to technical teams.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Participate in professional association organizations and activities. Assist in writing or editing proposals. Regular travel throughout the United States.
GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY:
Ability to work independently. Receives direction from and reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Client Solutions.
SUPERVISORY:
Non-supervisory role.
