Basic Function of Position  Working under the Construction Manager/Project Director of the on-site team, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for monitoring construction contractor performance for compliance with plans and specifications, reviewing shop drawings and other construction plans, developing change orders and cost estimates for the project.  Incumbent must be capable of working independently.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:  Experience inspecting construction work activities, with demonstrated increasing responsibility, of the same or similar type as that of the project to which the Construction Inspector II is assigned.  Experience may be in the following sectors: highways, bridges, streets, traffic control, sign installation projects.
