EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Professional Engineer and/or commissioning certification strongly preferred
- 10 years of experience in design of commercial HVAC systems including controls sequences, equipment, and piping.
- 10 years of experience in startup, acceptance testing and performance field verification of commercial HVAC systems equipment and associated controls systems.

Experience inspecting construction work activities, with demonstrated increasing responsibility, of the same or similar type as that of the project to which the Construction Inspector II is assigned. Experience may be in the following sectors: federal, municipal, K-12 school, higher education, transportation, ports or marina projects.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
Individuals at this level demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in overseeing construction projects and pre-construction support. Evidence in the construction industry experience working with construction contractors, architectural firms, engineering firms, consulting specialists, and associated services throughout preconstruction, construction, and post construction operations.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
5 to 15 years of transportation construction experience preferred with experience in transportation design considered.

Evidence of progressive career development and demonstrated expertise in leading large projects of project teams within the construction industry.

Summer 2024 Internship
SUMMARY:
Co-ops/Interns will potentially gain experience in on-site construction inspection, documentation, research, computer applications, scheduling, cost estimating, plans and specifications, project close-out, report development, and safety.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
Experience with commercial (non-residential) HVAC and/or electrical systems. Experience should include one or more of the following: design, construction, installation, operations and maintenance, testing and balancing, building automation temperature control systems, inspections, and troubleshooting operational issues. Must have an active role with a minimum of three projects (50,000 s.f. per project).
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
Demonstrated advanced knowledge and expertise inspecting construction work activities of the same or similar type as that of the project to which the Project Inspector is assigned that requires forethought, judgment and discretion in the execution of duties. Experience may be in the following sectors: federal, laboratory, or healthcare. Evidence of progressive career development. Demonstrated capabilities of overseeing inspection staff. Demonstrated advanced knowledge of engineering technology, project management and materials science. Demonstrated experience in coordinating inspection duties with multiple simultaneously operating crews; experience tracking daily quantities, completing daily inspection reports, performing monthly estimates and as-built drawings.
